This position is responsible for completing any necessary service tasks as well as customer-paid service jobs in an efficient manner. This will include completing service jobs, troubleshooting, repair, testing, rigging new boats and spring preparations. In addition, seasonal tasks will include winterizing, shrink wrapping, and other fall services, as well as spring preparation of new and pre-owned boats, assisting with transportation and boat show set-up as required.

We are looking for 2 experienced fiberglass technicians. Primary responsibility will be installing thruster tubes and the thruster unit into the tunnel – making the boat water tight
Must be an experienced candidate who can follow detailed directions consistently to complete the installs to standard and on schedule. Excellent communication skills are a must. This a professionals position. We expect any candidate seeking this position to have at least 2-3 years of fiberglass construction skills and experience working in a wide variety of conditions as we work all year round. We will train the right person to perform the installations to the standards we are known for.
This Job requires travel throughout New England but will mainly focus on the North and South shores and the Cape. Its possible that the right candidate may be home most days depending on schedule and work efficiency but overnight travel will certainly be required for some jobs. 4 days work weeks are also a distinct possibility based on work efficiency.
Earning potential is 80-100K /year and beyond for the very efficient high quality candidates. Plus benefits and overnight per diems.
Company truck provided and all expenses paid. Therefore a clean driver’s license is required and you must able to pass a DOT physical. Nonsmoker preferred.
The candidate can keep the company truck with them during the week and must check in once a week at the CT headquarters for re stock and work order review for the week . OVERVIEW: The Service Advisor is responsible for providing support to the Service Manager, Service Team, and Customers. Responsibilities include working with the customer (either internal or external) to get the information required to perform the work on the boat, following through to make sure the work is completed correctly the first time in a timely manner.
KEY TASKS:
- Assist Service Manager in day-to-day operations including scheduling and distribution of work for technicians and yard team, utilizing Service Scheduler and other tools as required to generate and manage work orders.
- Use manufacturer flat rate guides and Standard Service Operations (SSO’s) to determine the time allotted for the work, and follow up on timely completion.
- Insure that the Complaint, Cause and Correction of each problem are noted in the IDS work order.
- Coordinate with the manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies to get approval in advance of repairs, if required, and take precautions necessary to guarantee our payment including but not limited to pictures of the work and returning parts replaced.
- Greet customers and determine needs, providing clear and precise instructions on the work order for the technician.
- Answer incoming calls in a professional manner, returning all customer calls prior to close of business each day.
- Promote the sale of additional labor services, parts and accessories in a professional manner for each customer.
- Obtain Customer signature on every work order, and collect payment for work prior to releasing customer boat. In the event the repair cost is unknown initially, obtain customer approval on work order to diagnose issues, and then contact customer with estimate for repairs as soon as determined, and obtain approval.

OVERVIEW: The Parts Consultant is responsible for providing support to the Parts Manager and parts staff. Responsibilities include providing customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the parts department through receiving, stocking and distributing equipment and parts to other departments.

OVERVIEW: The Warranty Administrator is responsible for completing all functions involved with the compilation and submission of dealer claims for reimbursement of warranty parts and labor for the assigned service facilities.
KEY TASKS:
- Submit pre-authorizations to insure the maximum reimbursement for worked performed and for the highest possible approval ratio.
- Review pre-authorizations to insure expiration does not occur prior to claim submission.
- Appeal valid pre-authorization that were denied by the manufacturer.
- Reconcile work orders with pre-authorizations and make adjustments as needed to facilitate claim submission.
- Review claims for labor or material adjustments with service manager/service writer so that the customer and the appropriate MarineMax departments are aware of their financial obligation.
- Insure all parts requested by the manufacturer are returned within the timeframe specified by the manufacturer.
- Responsible for Collection of Warranty Credits.
- Negotiate and or appeal for adverse adjustments to claims implemented by manufacturers.
- Submit accurate and approved claims within the Manufacturer’s specified time limits.
- Insure timely answers from manufacturers through follow up of dealer’s claim.
- Insure recall notifications are initiated properly, work documented, and all work is completed.
- Research sublet orders and any other backup information necessary to file appropriate warranty claims.
- Train service writers and parts personnel in the proper procedure for warranty repairs, parts ordering, and pre-authorization submission.
- Work closely with the accounting department on warranty receivables to ensure prompt collection of credits due and the proper handling of credits.
- Reconcile manufacturer’s credits with both the pre-authorization and the actual cost of work performed.
- Prepare reports showing dollar volume of claims paid, claims requested, elapsed time for claim resolution, and outstanding claims.
- Continuously improve the timely and efficient collection of factory credits.
- Hire, train, motivate and monitor performance of warranty staff.

- Examine boat and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service advisor or customer.

• Strong practical experience with open and closed-molding techniques, including wet-layup, infusion, and pre-preg.
• Experience in yacht construction and repair is a strong plus.
• Experience in CNC programming and cutting is a plus.
• Practical experience in design and specification development is a plus.

Sea Tow Boston is seeking full-time USCG licensed captains to operate our asssistance towboats in Boston Harbor, North and South Shore. Candidtates must have a US Coast Guard license (with assistance towing endorsement), be customer service oriented, love spending time on the water, be detail and safety oriented.
- Requires valid USCG Captain’s license with Commercial Assistance Towing endorsement, unless exempt by tonnage. Near Coastal endorsement preferred, but Inland endorsement may be considered.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (must be enrolled in a random drug testing program during employment)
- Excellent boat handling skills necessary, towing training will be provided.
- Ability to use electronic technology to efficiently provide service.

Captain Bub’s Marine is currently looking to fill multiple positions at a high volume, fast pace Tracker dealership. We are a Suntracker, Mako, Nitro, Bass Tracker, Tahoe, Mercury/MerCrusier, Floe and Shoremaster dealer located in Lakeville, MA.
Lead Technician- 3-5 years’ experience in Mercury outboards and MerCruiser sterndrives. Everyday tasks range from winterizing, shrink-wrapping, diagnosing and new boat commissions. This role will also require the ability to assist other technicians and interact with customers.
Parts Associate- Experience with Mercury/MerCruiser, Johnson/Evinrude parts. Knowledge in parts ordering, returns, warranty. Currently using Commander point of sale system.
Marine Technician- 1-3 years’ experience. Assist in everyday boat yard activities including winterizing outboards, shrink-wrapping, some engine repair, spring commissioning.
Yard Associate- 1-3 year’s experience in the marine industry. Ability to drive forklift, truck and hydraulic pontoon trailer. Responsibilities include assisting in unloading new boats, moving boats in and out of storage, shrink wrapping, assisting service/sales departments.
Dock crew- This role requires weekend hours for removal and installation of Floe and shore master dock systems. Ability to read and follow instructions for boat lift assembly and dock accessories.

We are seeking an experienced Outboard Mechanic to join our team in a full-time, year round position. This is a leadership position that involves troubleshooting, diagnostics, good communication skills and an abilty to pay close attention to detail.
